Ariel Haith established herself as one of the most accomplished bowlers in the history of Virginia State University Athletics, setting a standard of excellence through consistency, competitive poise, and academic commitment. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Haith represented VSU with distinction throughout her collegiate bowling career.Â
Haith earned All-CIAA honors in three consecutive seasons (2017–2019), consistently ranking among the conference’s elite competitors. She was named to the CIAA All-Tournament Team in 2017, earned recognition as CIAA Bowler of the Month in 2018, and capped her postseason success as a CIAA All-Tournament Team member and finalist in 2019.Â
Her career reached its pinnacle in 2019, when Haith was named CIAA Player of the Year, the highest individual honor in the conference. That season, she recorded the highest average score in the CIAA at 185.48 pins per match and finished with the highest total pin count among all CIAA student-athletes, underscoring her precision, durability, and competitive excellence.Â
In the classroom, Haith majored in Interdisciplinary Studies and was an active member of the Student Virginia Education Association (SVEA). One of her most meaningful experiences at VSU came through her service as a student volunteer in local elementary school classrooms, particularly at Ettrick Elementary School, where she completed her student teaching. That experience remains one of her most cherished memories as a Trojan.Â
Following graduation in 2019, Haith pursued a professional path in the creative arts as a theatrical seamstress. She currently works with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, applying technical skill, creativity, and professionalism in an international performance environment.Â
Now residing in Chicago, Illinois, Haith continues to exemplify the discipline and dedication that defined her collegiate career. Her induction into the VSU Athletics Hall of Fame honors a legacy of competitive excellence, academic achievement, and meaningful service.Â
