Get ready for Virginia State University Football at Rogers Stadium! Before heading to campus, review the information below to help make your game day experience as smooth as possible.

2026 STADIUM ENTRY NOTICE
Due to ongoing construction at the main entrance to Rogers Stadium (Gate 2), Gate 2 will be closed for the 2026 football season. As a result, a limited number of stadium entrances will be available on game day.
Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, arrive early and have mobile tickets downloaded before arriving on campus to help expedite entry into Rogers Stadium.

GAME DAY SCHEDULE
  • Parking Lots Open: 2 hours before kickoff
  • Ticket Booths Open: 2 hours before kickoff
  • Stadium Gates Open: 90 minutes before kickoff
  • Kickoff: Varies by game
Ticket booths are located at Rogers Stadium.

CAMPUS ENTRY & IDENTIFICATION
As part of Virginia State University’s campus safety procedures, all visitors should be prepared to present a valid photo ID upon entry to campus. Please have your identification readily available to help expedite campus entry.
Plan to Arrive Early: ID checks may result in delays when entering campus, particularly during peak arrival times. Fans are encouraged to allow additional time for campus entry, parking and arrival at Rogers Stadium.

PARKING & CAMPUS ACCESS
  • General Parking: Lots 28, 39, 40 and 41
  • Parking Fee: $25 per vehicle for all home football games, including Homecoming.
  • Parking Lots Open: 2 hours before kickoff.
  • Cashless Parking: All parking transactions are cashless. Credit cards are accepted at the parking entrance.
  • Purchase Parking in Advance: Fans may purchase parking in advance through Ticketmaster – Rogers Stadium Parking.
  • Bus & Group Parking: Lot 41
STUDENT, FACULTY & STAFF GAME-DAY PARKING
VSU students, faculty and staff with a valid VSU parking decal and VSU ID receive complimentary parking on game day. Both the valid parking decal and VSU ID should be available upon arrival.

ADA PARKING & SHUTTLE SERVICE
ADA Parking: ADA parking is available in Lot 43, adjacent to the VSU Multipurpose Center. A valid ADA parking placard or license plate must be clearly visible.
ADA Shuttle Service: Complimentary ADA shuttle service is provided from Lot 43 to Gate 3 (VIP Entrance) at Rogers Stadium.
Important Ticket Information: Guests using the ADA shuttle should purchase their game ticket in advance. There are no in-person ticket sales at Gate 3. Guests arriving at Gate 3 without a ticket must be prepared to purchase a mobile ticket from their phone before entering the stadium.

TAILGATING
Fans planning to tailgate are encouraged to review Virginia State University’s tailgating policies and guidelines, including information on how to purchase tailgate spots, before arriving on campus.

TICKETS
  • Purchase Tickets in Advance: Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase game tickets in advance through Ticketmaster – Rogers Stadium Tickets. Advance purchase is especially encouraged for the 2026 season due to the limited number of stadium entrances during construction.
  • Mobile Tickets: Fans using mobile tickets are encouraged to download their tickets to their mobile device before arriving on campus to help expedite entry.
  • Game-Day Ticket Sales: Tickets may be purchased in person at Gates 1 and 4. No in-person ticket sales are available at Gate 3.
  • Children: Children 5 years old and younger do not need a ticket for admission.


STUDENT TICKETS
VSU students must present a valid VSU student ID to pick up their game ticket.
Student Ticket Pickup Locations & Hours:
  • VSU Multipurpose Center Box Office: Weekdays, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Foster Hall: Wednesday & Thursday, 12:00–3:00 p.m. | Friday, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • VSU Multipurpose Center Box Office: 10:30 a.m. through the end of the third quarter.


HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ADMISSION
Students from participating local school divisions may receive complimentary admission to select VSU Football games by presenting a valid school-issued student ID at Gate 1.
Eligible School Divisions:
  • Chesterfield County
  • Petersburg City
  • Colonial Heights
  • Dinwiddie County
  • Hopewell
Participating Games:
  • August 27 vs. Barton — 6:00 p.m.
  • September 5 vs. Bowie State — 1:00 p.m.
  • September 26 vs. Winston-Salem State — 1:00 p.m.


STADIUM ENTRY
Gates open 90 minutes before kickoff.
Gate 1: General public admission, visiting fans, VSU student admission and game-day ticket sales.
Gate 2: CLOSED due to construction of the new VSU Welcome Center.
Gate 3 – VIP Entrance: Designated VIP guests, boosters, season ticket holders, ADA shuttle passengers and spectators who have purchased tickets in advance may enter through Gate 3. No game-day ticket sales are available at Gate 3.
Gate 4: General public admission, visiting fans, VSU student admission and game-day ticket sales.

WILL CALL
Location: Gate 4
Tickets designated for Will Call may be picked up at Gate 4.

GUEST SERVICES
Location: Gate 4
Guest Services is available at Gate 4.

CLEAR BAG POLICY
To provide a safer environment and help expedite fan entry, the Rogers Stadium Bag Policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought to VSU football games.
APPROVED BAGS
  • Clear Tote: Plastic, vinyl or PVC — no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
  • Clear Drawstring Bag: Plastic, vinyl or PVC — no larger than 12" x 12"
  • Storage Bag: 1-gallon resealable clear bag
  • Small Clutch Purse: Approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap — no larger than 4.5" x 6.5"
PROHIBITED BAGS
  • Oversized tote bags
  • Seat cushions with pockets or zippers
  • Purses
  • Tinted, patterned or mesh bags
  • Fanny packs
  • Diaper bags
  • Drawstring bags that are not clear
  • Camera cases
  • Binocular cases
  • Backpacks
Special Circumstances: Diaper bags with an accompanying child and bags larger than the approved sizes for medical necessities will be searched.
All bags are subject to search upon entry.

ROGERS STADIUM POLICIES
  • No Re-Entry: Re-entry is not permitted once you exit Rogers Stadium.
  • No Smoking or Vaping: Smoking, vaping and the use of tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, are prohibited inside Rogers Stadium.
  • Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
  • Bag Search: All bags are subject to search upon entry.
  • Lost or Stolen Items: Rogers Stadium is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Throwing Objects: Throwing objects inside the stadium is strictly prohibited.
  • Fan Conduct: Obscene or abusive language or behavior may result in removal from the stadium.


ACCESSIBLE & COMPANION SEATING
Accessible and companion seating is available throughout Rogers Stadium. Clearly designated accessible seating areas are located at the top and bottom of the home-side seating area.
Additional accessible seating areas are located on the visitor side at the bottom of the bleachers in designated recessed areas.

CONCESSIONS
  • Main Concession Stand: Located behind the home bleachers and open during the game.
  • Beverage Tent: A small tent located beside the Main Concession Stand will sell beverages only.
  • Cashless Concessions: All concession transactions are cashless.


MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Guests who need medical assistance during the game should notify the nearest VSU Athletics or event staff member for assistance. In the event of an emergency, call 911.
