Lynchburg, Va. (Feb. 3, 2024)-The women team fared well at the Liberty Open competition breaking may personal records before the CIAA Indoor Championships.
The women's Standout this week wasÂ
Janiya Harmon who threw a personal best in the Shot Put ofÂ
12.41m (40ft 8). She finished overall 4th overall and is currently ranked #2 in the CIAA.
Aanya Howard finished 2nd overall in the High Jump with a 1.57m (5'1 3/4).
Jaelyn Wynder-Hill tied her personal best of 9.17 in the 60m hurdles.Â
Jada Starks ran a personal best in the 60m dash with a 7.93 and a personal best in the 60m hurdles with a 9.19. The distance team also had some personal best withÂ
Alandina Hyppolite running a personal best in the Mile run with a 5:38.41 She was followed byÂ
Manuelene Deigh who ran a personal best of 5:44.58.
Manuela Deigh ran a personal best in the 800m run with 2:26.61 andÂ
Emetem Bezezuh ran a personal best of 2.33.19.
