A first place finish by freshmen, Ianna Frederick in the high jump sparked a good day down at Virginia Beach.

Then, off to the races! Leonie Bentley and Jamiel Bowers punched their tickets to finals by running 6.90 (60 meter dash) and 8.45 (60 meter hurdles) in their respective races.

On the oval, going the distance of 800 meters and 3000 meters, Junior, Emmanuel Williams found success hitting personal best marks for both events.

Going down to the sprint races, Kiwan Williams finished in the 5th place spot in the 400 meter dash (49.41), followed by personal best 400 meter races by Calvin Birch and Carrington Jones.  Leonie Bentley came back to take a medal stand finishing spot in the 200 meter dash with a personal best time of 21.83.

The meet ended the same way that it started with a first place finish by the 4x400 meter relay team of Kiwan Williams, Calvin Birch, Carrington Jones, and Jeryll Gaines.

Next up, the Trojans will travel to VMI to compete at the Winter Relays on February 6-7, 2026.
