Lynchburg, Va.-The Trojans started their 2025-2026 indoor track and field campaign on the road at Liberty University as they clashed with some competitive Division 1 opponents!
The field was highlighted by Junior Kwame Whitaker, who led the field with his 5th place finish in the invite section of the long jump while teammates, Keyonte Midgett and David Norman rounded out the top ten in the field.  On the women's side, Janiya Harmon threw her way into the shot put finals with a 40'9.25" put to finish top 8 in the field.
The track heated up next as Kwame Whitaker ran a personal best in the 60 meter dash while his teammates ran season-best openers. Later on in the competition, Miles Artis-Ablack set a school record in the 300 meter dash that was broken 2 heats later by Amarion Harrell as he finished top 5 with a new 300 meter school record time of 34.43.  Kiwan Williams also placed top 5 in his 500m field with a competitive mark to open up the season of his junior track and field season. Kenedy Shields mirrored that performance on the women's side as she flew down the bank to a personal best time in the 200 meter dash as our top finisher.
The meet was sealed with a first-place finish in the 4x400 meter quartet of Amarion Harrell, Kiwan Williams, Reginald Bell, and Miles Artis-ABlack as they bested the field of competitors.
