Ettrick, Va. (Aug. 13, 2025) – Under new Head Coach Kaitlyn Scroggins, the Virginia State University volleyball team has announced its 2025 schedule. 

The Trojans open the season with a scrimmage at Richard Bland on August 26, followed by the VSU Opening Weekend Invitational on September 5–6. VSU will face Concord and Shepherd on Friday, then take on Bloomsburg and Pitt–Johnstown on Saturday. The following week, the team will travel to the UNC Pembroke Invitational to compete against Albany State, Wingate, Eckerd, and Coker. 

Conference play begins at home with matchups against Bowie State (Sept. 25) and Lincoln (Pa.) (Sept. 29) at the MPC. The Trojans then travel to Fayetteville State for the first CIAA Round-Up, where they will face southern division opponents Claflin, Johnson C. Smith, and Winston-Salem State. After the round-up, VSU will play a two-match road swing before heading to the second CIAA Round-Up at Bowie State. 

From there, the Trojans will travel to Lincoln (Pa.) before closing out the home portion of the schedule with three straight matches against Virginia Union, Bluefield State, and Elizabeth City State. VSU wraps up conference play on the road with contests against Virginia Union (Nov. 6) and Bowie State (Nov. 10), respectively.
