BOWIE, MD --The Virginia State volleyball team earned a three-set win (25-18, 25-21, 25-13) against the Livingstone Blue Bears Friday at AC Jordan Arena.
The non-conference win improved Virginia State's overall record to 14-10 on the season.
The Trojans were led by a double-double from Gracie Darville, who registered 15 kills and 10 digs on the day. Amaya Cooper also added seven kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Kellee Craig chipped in for with 16 digs to go with four blocks from De'Mya Robinson.

SET 3 | Virginia State took set three to finish off the match. The Trojans grabbed control of the set early when the score was 4-3 and never trailed to win 25-13. Virginia State ended on a strong note, opening up its biggest lead of the stanza, 12 points, to close out the set. Virginia State's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four Livingstone attacks in the stanza.
