Chesterfield, Va. (Nov. 11, 2025)- The Virginia State University Women's Bowling team hosted the first CIAA Event and finished the event with a 7-5 overall record.

On the first day of the event Trojans defeated Elizabeth City State University, Bowie State Univeristy and Virginia Union Univeristy. Janaya Ward and Rylie Banks both bowled over 100 total pins in all five matches. On the second day the Trojans started with a win over Virginia Union where four of the five bowlers scored over 100 total pins. VSU continued the strong start with a close loss to Bowie State where every bowler had a score over 100, then won back to back games against ECSU and VUU 713-679 and 775-503 respectfully. Then in the baker matches the Trojans emerged with one win over Virginia Union 665-587.

The Trojans will get ready for the next CIAA Event hosted by Johnson C. Smith on January 30 through Feburary 1.
