ORANGEBURG, SC – After an unideal start to the season, Jameishia Smith looks still searches for her first win of the 2023 softball season as they head down to Orangeburg, SC to take park in the HBCU Division II Classic.

Kyla Graves currently leads the team with a .333 while Alaijah Pratt, Alaysha McKnight and Reina Washington all maintain a .250 batting average. Pratt also leads the team in the circle with three strikeouts and just one walk in 4.2 innings of work.

 
About Albany State
The Golden Rams are 4-4 to this point in the season and bat .293. The squad has driven in 24 runs and have a .322 on base percentage. Series History
This will be the first-ever meeting between VSU and Albany State/Kentucky State/Tuskegee. The VSU and Edward Waters (Fla.) have one prior meeting which was in 2015 in which EWU earned the victory 8-5.
