Box Score 1 St. Croix, VI (Dec. 17, 2023)- The Virginia State University men's basketball team finished as runner-ups at the YES UVI Classic after a 72-68 loss to Bloomfield College.

To get to the championship game the team beat the host institution University of Virgin Islands 77-69 on day 1 and Claflin University 73-71 in the semifinal matchup. The team will now be on Christmas break until December 30 when St. Augustine's make their way into the MPC at 4 p.m.
