VSU Bowling Returns to Action for CIAA Event II, Jan. 27-29

ELIZABETH CITY, NC – The Virginia State women's bowling team returns to action for the new year for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Event II, hosted by Elizabeth City State University. The 3-day tournament (Jan. 27-29) will be held at the OBX Bowling Center in Nags Head, NC.

The tournament will kick off on Friday (Jan. 27) at 10:40 a.m. with team matches one through five, followed by team matches (1-4) on Saturday (Jan. 28). Baker matches is set for Sunday (Jan. 29) at 8:40 a.m.

Seven other CIAA institutions competing this weekend will join the Trojans, including Virginia Union, Bowie State, Elizabeth City State of the Northern Division and Fayetteville State, Johnson C. Smith, Livingstone and Shaw of the Southern Division.

Virginia State is coming off a 0-6 overall record at the Coppin State Lady Eagles Invitational on November 19-20 in Baltimore, MD. As a team, the Trojans highest game was 502 during the second baker's match, which was against Wagner College.
