NORFOLK, VA – The Virginia State women's outdoor track and field team traveled over to Norfolk, VA to compete against top-tier talent in the Spartan Invitational.

100 Meters
Glenda Jenkins finished 15th place of 32 after posting a 12.50. In 19^th place came Amaya Jordan who finished in 12.78. Shakell Williams finished in 13.17, which placed her 26^th.

200 Meters
Glenda Jenkins finished in 25.16 and placed 18^th of 48 while coming in second in her heat. In 35^th came Jordan Burzynski who finished in 26.77. Shakell Williams came in 42^nd place with a 27.53.  

400 Meters
Jordan Burzynski finished in 22^nd place while posting a 1:01.41.

800 Meters
Finishing sixth of 23 was Kyera Frank as she posted a speedy 2:26.49 while Alandina Hyppolite was right behind her in eighth with her 2:26.49 finish. Shashauna Valentine finished 13^th while running a 2:33.93. Ruby Williams was able to run a 2:37.96 and came in 17^th place. Manuelene Deigh was able to post an 18^th place finish behind a 2:38.96 finish.
 
1500 Meters
Kyera Frank placed fifth of 15 after posting  4:59.36 finish while Alandina Hyppolite finished a place behind in sixth with her 5:10.29. Ruby Williams was not far behind in eighth place finishing in 5:22.06. In ninth place came Shashauana Valentine who finished in 5:24.41. In 12^th and 13^th came the twins Manuelene and Manuela Deigh as Manuelene finished in 5:33.47 while Manuela clocked a 5:39.86. Scheleck Laraque finished 15^th with a 6.39.02.

Shot Put
Savanna Drummer's throw of 10.43 meters placed her in ninth place of 17. Brooklyn Richardson came in 12^th as her best throw covered 9.99 meters.

Discus  
Brooklyn Richardson finished 10^th of 21 after her best toss covered 34.06 meters while Savanna Drummer's best covered 30.13 meters.
