BALTIMORE, MD. –  No. 8 Virginia State men's basketball will take on the No. 1 seeded Fayetteville State tonight at 6:40 p.m. in the 2022 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Tournament Quarterfinals.
 

The winner will advance to the semifinals on Thursday, Feb. 24 against the winner of either Lincoln (Pa.) and Johnson C. Smith at 8 p.m.

Virginia State and Fayetteville State split the regular season series. The Trojans loss the first meeting, 66-69 in Fayetteville, NC. Later in the season, the Trojans were unable to come away victorious again as the Broncos won the second matchup 65-69., on Dec. 18, which makes FSU the winners of three of the last four.
