ETTRICK, VA - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announces the 2021 All-CIAA preseason volleyball team, as voted on by the CIAA Volleyball Coaches Association and Sports Information Directors Association, and the predicted order of finish as selected by the head coaches.
 
Fayetteville State was picked to win the Southern Division while Virginia State was selected to three-peat as Northern Division champions and finish second overall. 
 
In 2019, the Trojans, under the guidance of Head Coach Amanda Walker, won their second straight division title and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament.

Ambria McBride (Fayetteville, NC) will represent Virginia State in the All-CIAA Preseason Volleyball Team. The junior outside hitter finished amongst the best in the conference in points per set (3.04) and kills per set (2.56). She was a key component in the success of the 2019 team. That same year, VSU also took home the Offensive Player of the Year award and had two student-athletes earn All Conference honors. 

VSU volleyball opens their season on September 3-4 at home for the VSU Trojans Home Season Opener Tournament.
