GLEN ALLEN, VA- Virginia State's women's bowling team finished 0-10 in the VUU Invitational to open the 2021-2022 season.

On Friday, VSU faced off against Fayetteville State but fell short 738-583. The next matchup saw Morgan State defeat the Trojans 875-756. Norfolk State then beat VSU 724-584. In the final matchup of the day, Virginia Union outscored the Trojans 651-572.

Saturday's slate started with a 904-750 loss to Coppin State then, an 835-719 loss to Bowie State. The Trojans would then face Johnson C. Smith to start to second half of the day but fell to the Golden Bulls 859-721. The last match of the day saw the Trojans drop another to Sacred Heart 1,007-726.

On the final day of the VUU Invitational, Virginia State first bowled against Johnson C. Smith losing 912-652. In the final game, VSU fell to Virginia Union 916-807.

The Trojans will return to competition next weekend November 5-7 in the CIAA Event I in Bowie, Maryland.
