ETTRICK, VA (March 8, 2019)- The Virginia State University Trojans softball team are set to take on the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University on March 9-10 for a 2-day doubleheader matchup. The first pitch is slated for 12pm at the VSU Softball Field on the campus of Virginia State.

LAST CONTEST
Inclement weather halted the Trojans field action for several contests and tournaments. VSU was last in action on February 9-10, where they took on Queens College (Charlotte) and Catawba College. Despite falling short in these contests, the Trojan put forth a team effort to secure runs. Kara Morris, Brooklynn Bilyard, Samantha Cunningham, Shaniya Marble and Akelia Price, Vanessa Ruby and Kennedy Presson each contributed a run for VSU.

THE MATCHUP
The matchup against the Warriors allows the Trojans to not only return to the field after inclement weather cancelations, but puts them in a the championship mindset as they prepare for the 2019 CIAA Championship on April 29- May 1 in Salem, VA.
