ETTRICK, VA (November 12, 2019)-The Virginia State University men's basketball team looks to build on the start of a great season with a matchup against the Bulldogs of Wingate University on November 13. Tipoff is set for 7:30pm at Cuddy Arena in Wingate, NC.
The Trojans faced the Bulldogs last season and were victorious with a score of 77-70. Going into the contest, both teams are 2-0 on the season.
VSU's matchup with Wingate is not just the 3rd out of conference contest of the season, but it is the start of an action packed game week.
Currently, Lual Daniel Rahama and Andrew Corum are equally matched, averaging 9.5 points per game, while Rahama has control of the Trojans recoveries, averaging 9.5 per game.
As members of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC), the Wingate Bulldogs are currently led by Jarren Cottingham, averaging 16 points per game. Averaging 5.0 rebounds per game for Wingate is Quantra Taylor.
