Game 1
Despite taking an 8-0 game 1 loss to the Chowan Hawks, the Trojans battled to stay in the game. Senior
Laricesa Miles gave VSU their 2 hits during the contest, while Chowan scored in the first, third and seventh innings.

Game 2
The Trojans regrouped for game 2, securing the first run of the game at the bottom of the second inning. The Hawks would jump ahead with 2 runs at the top of the third to take a 2-1 lead. Chowan would soon collected 4 additional runs between the third and sixth innings. With the score in favor of the visiting team, 6-1, the Trojans worked to add runs to the board to stay alive. Despite collecting a run at the bottom of the sixth and seventh innings to move the score to 6-3, VSU was not able to take the win.

UP NEXT
The Trojans will return to action for an early morning matchup on Sunday, April 15 against the Vikings of Elizabeth City State University. The first pitch is set for 9am at the VSU Softball Field. Â
