Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ETTRICK, Va.- The Virginia State University softball team took a double loss to the Chowan University Hawks on April 16.

Game 1 move extremely fast, giving the Trojan the 3-0 loss.

After the Hawks secured 3 runs at the top of the 1^st inning, both team remained scoreless.

The Trojans took a 5-1 loss in game 2.

At the end of the 4^th inning, the Trojans trailed 5-0. Junior Marissa Hughes (Upper Marlboro, MD) put the Trojans on the board at the bottom of the 5^th inning after a single by senior Alexandra King (Annandale, VA).

Neither team scored for the rest of the game, giving VSU the 5-1 loss.

The Trojans will return to the VSU Softball Field on Sunday, April 17 to take on the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State University. The first pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1pm.
