Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BOWIE, Md.- The Virginia State University softball team suffered a doubleheader loss to the Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State University on April 13.

The Trojans were unable to advance home in game 1 taking the 2-0 loss.

Sophomore India Holmes (Ruther Glen, VA) hit a single to center field giving junior Laricesa Miles (Emporia VA) a chance to put the Trojans on the board in the 1^st inning of game 2. The Lady Bulldogs answered back with a run at the bottom of the same tying the game.

Both teams remained scoreless in innings 2-7, extending the game to the 8^th. VSU was unable to capitalize off of the additional inning, while BSU secured a run taking the 2-1 win.

VSU will travel to Lincoln, PA on Thursday, April 14 to take in the Lady Lions on Lincoln University. The first pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1pm.
