The Trojans move to a 3-11 overall record, 2-1 in the conference.

In game one, the Trojans put the 10-run rule to work as they held the Bears down to a single run at the top of the 4th inning.

VSU started the game off strong with 8 runs at the bottom of the 1st inning. Junior Marissa Hughes (Upper Marlboro, MD) lead the game for the Trojans, securing 2 runs in the opening inning. While neither team scored in the 2nd or 3rd inning, Shaw attempted to close the scoring gap with a run at the top of the 4th.
