ETTRICK, Va.- The Virginia State University volleyball team hosted their 2015 Volleyball Summer Camp July 27-30.
"We had a really good turnout. We hosted campers from several states as far as Texas," said Coach Rose White. Last season marked Coach White's first campaign as the Trojans Head Volleyball Coach, opening with  a 10 game winning streak and ended the season 16-7 overall.
The camp hosted a group of amazing commuter and overnight campers that were enthusiastic about the sport. Several Trojan volleyball players volunteered to come back and work hand in hand with the young group of campers.
The campers practiced key volleyball skills to include serving, passing, digging, and blocking. Throughout the duration of camp, Coach White hosted open gym and instructional sessions to get the campers eager to strengthen their skills on the court.
At the conclusion of the four day camp, the campers not only enhanced their volleyball skills but interacted one on one with amazing Trojan student-athletes, made new friends, and expressed their love for the game of volleyball.
