RALEIGH, NC- After a victory over the Lady Broncos in round 1, the Trojans dropped to the St. Augustine's University Lady Falcons in round 2 of the CIAA Softball Championship with a final score of 9-1.

Junior Lindsey Wilkins started the game off on the mound allowing 2 hits and 1 run. Junior Mckenzie Love took over pitching for the Trojans taking the loss. She allowed 5 hits, 6 runs and gave 1 strikeout.

Rookie India Holmes put VSU on the board in the 2^nd inning giving sophomore Marissa Hughes an RBI.

VSU is currently 13-16 on the season, 10-7 in the conference and 7-3 in the division.

Due to incleament weather, the Trojans will face the Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State University on May 2 at 9 a.m. at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex for the elimination round.
