ETTRICK, Va.- The VSU softball team will advance to the 2015 CIAA Softball Championship on April 30-May 2 in Raleigh, NC. The Trojans are set to take on the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University (FSU) on April 30 at 8:30 a.m. at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex.

VSU finished the regular season with a 7-3 divisional record, 10-7 in the conference and 12-15 overall, which gave them the No. 2 seed in the Northern Division. FSU received the Southern Division's No. 3 seed with a record of 6-4 in the division, 11-5 in the conference and 16-12 overall.

The teams last met at the CIAA Roundup on March 31 at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex. The Trojans took an 8-3 loss to the Lady Broncos.

The winner of the game will advance and take the field on Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m.
