ETTRICK, Va. – The Virginia State University softball team will begin their 2015 season in Orangeburg, SC on February 6-8.

Under the leadership of second year head coach and the 2014 CIAA Softball Coach of the Year LaTasha Branch, the Trojans will take on Kentucky State, Clark Atlanta, Edward Waters, Benedict, and the tournament host Claflin on the 3 day run.

The Trojans have 12 returners from last season, including the 2014 All-CIAA Second Base First Team pick Jameshia Smith, the 2014 All-CIAA Left Field Second Team pick Verlisha Brandon and the 2014 All-CIAA Rookie Outfielder DeMone Brickhouse.
