Box Score ETTRICK, Va.- The Trojans end the Trojan Tip-Off Classic with a bang as they defeated Glenville State College, 77-55, in Daniel Gymnasium. 
"We played with a lot of energy," said Head Coach Lonnie Blow Jr. "Coming back from last night, we had a bad taste in our mouth and it was important that we came out and got going. We did a good job in being prepared."
The Trojans shot 48.6 percent from the field in the first half making 18 of their 37 shots; while shooting 25 percent from behind the arc and 100 percent from the foul line. In the second half the Trojans lead by as much as 24 points; while shooting 40 percent from the floor, 35.7 percent from 3pt range, and 76.9 percent from the charity line.  
VSU ended the game shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 31.8 percent behind the arc. After struggling at the line in Day 1 of the Tip-Off Classic, the Trojans ended tonight shooting 76.9 percent from the line. "We have a good group of shooters and we just had to focus more on the free throw shots as we did that tonight," Coach Blow.

Kevin Williams (Franklinton, NC) collectively led the Trojans in scoring with 13 points each.

The Trojans would like to thank Glenville State College, St. Augustine's University, and Slippery Rock University for competing in the 2015-16 Tip-Off Classic.
The Virginia State University Men's Basketball team will travel to Charleston, WV on November 17, 2015 to take on University of Charleston at 7:30 p.m.
The Virginia State Department of Athletics annual 1,000 cans, 1 goal campaign initiative is underway. The canned food items collected will be donated to the local food banks. The Department encourages all fans, alumni, faculty and friends to bring a canned food item to all of the home volleyball and football games this season.
