Ettrick, Va. (Apr. 7, 2025)- Head Men's Basketball Coach Lonnie Blow, Jr. has earned a spot in the Achieving Coaching Excellence Honor Roll. Only two division 2 coaches are on the list with Fred Watson from Miles College being the other.
Under Coach Blows' leadership this season won the CIAA Northern Division Championship, the CIAA Tournament and their opening round game of the NCAA Tournament. The Trojan finished with a 22-9 record this season and the first 20-win season for VSU since the 2018-19 season.
About the College Basketball Coaching Honor Roll
Started after the 2019-20 season, the College Basketball Coaching Honor Roll annually recognizes leaders in women's and men's college basketball that demonstrate tenets of coaching excellence that include on and off the court performance, community involvement, and serving as champions for college basketball, their coaching peers, and the coaching profession.
