PETERSBURG, Va. – The Virginia State men's basketball team lost a tough game to the Rams of Winston-Salem on Thursday night at Daniel Gymnasium 75-62.
Christopher Grier lead the Trojans in netting 16 points and grabbing three rebounds, while sophomore
Amiel Terry pulled down nine rebounds and scored five points.
The Rams got off to a blistering start shooting 58.3% from the three point line while the Trojans shot 25.0%. At the close of the first half the score was 41-32 Rams.
The Rams continue to control the game pushing the lead to 17 points with 8:11 remaining on the clock. The Trojans could not get on track shooting 20.0% from the three point line in the second half as the Rams closed the game out for the win.
The Trojans will be back in action at home against Livingstone College Blue Bears on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 5:00 PM.
