Jameshia Smith hit a two run double in the second inning leading Virginia State to a 4-3 win over Fayetteville State on Sunday, March 10^th on the campus of Chowan University at the CIAA Round-Up.

Virginia State had nine total hits led by Jameshia Smith's three hits with two doubles. Jamilia Smith followed her sister with two hits and two runs scored. Mikia Noble and Brittany Payne each scored a run for the Trojans as VSU scored three runs in the second inning and one run in the fourth inning.

Pitcher Jessica Mattia (4-6) went the entire game striking out three batters, walking another three, while surrendering six total hits.
The Trojans won all three games this past weekend at the CIAA Round-Up. Their record improves to 5-1 in CIAA conference play.
