The Virginia State men's and women's basketball teams finished the 6^th annual Chick-fil-A Classic on top.

On Nov. 30 at 6:30pm, the women took on the Lady Shocks of Washington Adventist.  Lamesha Deal led the Trojans with 15 points and nine rebounds. Alexandria Massado followed close behind with ten points and four rebounds. The Trojans were ahead of the Lady Shocks by 20 points at the end of the first half. They kept the same momentum, finishing the game 85-46.

At 8:30pm, the men went head-to-head against the Dragons of Virginia University of Lynchburg. James Vann scored 18 points, securing 4 out of 5 three point attempts. DeShon Dabbs came in making 12 points, ten of which helped the Trojans lead 34-13 at half time. The game ended with the Trojans winning 63-44.
