Virginia State University men's track & field team kicked off the 2026 indoor season Friday at the
VCU Rams Indoor Invitational at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, competing against a strong field of regional and Division I opponents. The Trojans delivered a series of competitive performances as they gained valuable early-season experience on both the track and in the field
The Trojan men's
4×400-meter relay squad turned in one of VSU's most exciting performances of the day, posting a fast time and racing among the top teams in the final.
Kiwan Williams placed fifth in the men's 500 meter run with a time of 1:06.17.
Tyler Roberts and Alizjah Koonce placed sixth and seventh respectfully in the men's 1000 meter run. In the field
Jaquan Griffin placed fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.74 meters.
