Washington Heights, N.Y.- Five different Trojans hit brand new division 2 marks as VSU puts on good performance against different HBCU's.
Both Emmanuel Kipchirchir (8:52.95) and Emmanuel Williams (9:13.46) placed in the top 10 in the 3000-meter run at fourth and seventh respectively. Joseph Briscoe jumped an even 2.00 meters in the high jump which was good for 27th best mark in all of Division 2. In the triple jump Jahaz Morgan jumped 14.70 meters which puts him with the 20th best mark in Division 2.
In the 60-meter hurdle prelims Bryce Dudley collected another top 10 finish with a time of 8.38. In the 800-meter run Desmond Kirwa placed fourth with a time of 1:54.13. Kwame Whitaker broke the seven-meter mark in the long jump to claim seventh place.
The team will be back in action January 31 at Virginia Wesleyan University for the Marlin Invitational.
