Ettrick, Va. (Dec. 6, 2024)- The Virginia State men's and women's indoor track season kicks off at the WSSU JDL Fast Track on Saturday December 7 and then the WSSU Early Bird Invitational on Sunday December 8.  

Last season the men's team finished second in the CIAA Indoor Championship and brought back many scorers such as Jahaz Morgan, Joseph Briscoe, Jalen Brownlee and many more. This season the team will be led by those as well as Cameren Anderson who performed well in the outdoor portion of the season. 

The women's team last season placed fourth in the CIAA Indoor Championships. Both Janiya Harmon and Gabrielle Gunn return this season. This season the team will feature 11 freshmen and seven sophomores. Of those sophomores Rose Wanjiru Muturi had a good outdoor and cross-country season. Ananda Hamlin also has a good cross-country season as a freshman.
