Ettrick, Va. (Dec. 17, 2024)- Four members of the Virginia State volleyball team have earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Helena Eubanks, Peyton Reese, Leila Jackson and Adrianna Bacon have earn this distinction this year. 

To be eligible for the All District team the player must've played in 90% of the games or started in 60% and hold a gpa at 3.5 or above. 

Eubanks, a senior outside hitter, registered 203 kills this season and recorded her 1000 point this season. Off the court she is the President of Virginia State Student Athletes Advisory Council or SAAC and is vice-president for the CIAA SAAC.  

Reese is a sophomore setter who dished out 493 assists this season. While off the court she holds a perfect 4.0 and is also a member of SAAC. 

Jackson is also a sophomore setter who had 229 assists this season. Off the court she is the third member of SAAC from the volleyball team and is a member of the cabinet holding the social media coordinator role. 

Bacon is a sophomore defensive specialist who was third on the team with 146 digs. Off the court she works with the YMCA as a miracle league buddy helping young kids and is a member of the VSU Blue Athletic team for having a gpa between 3.71 and 4.0. 

Bacon is also a finalist for Academic All-American which will be voted on by members of the CSC. The Academic All-Americans will be split into first, second and third team which will be announced on January 14, 2025.
