ETTRICK, VA - The D2CCA announced their All-Atlantic Region Team on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Senior Samantha Cunningham (Waukegan, IL) was named to the All-Atlantic Region First Team as a third base player. Cunningham was also named to the All-CIAA First Team as a third base player as well as being named Team MVP and Women's Athlete of the Year at Virginia State. Cunningham led the team in batting average (.467), OPS (1.304), doubles (13), RBI (29), on-base percentage (.534) and walks (12) this past season. She is currently ranked seventh in the nation, first in the conference in batting average and 15th in the nation, first in the conference in on-base percentage. She also ranks third in the nation in doubles per game with .43. She also ranks third in the conference in slugging percentage (.762), third in OPS, fourth in runs batted in, third in doubles and second in assisted outs (65). She went on a ridiculous 19-game hitting streak with 11 multi-hit ball games. Her best game came against JCSU as she went 4-4 while scoring three runs with an RBI. Cunningham was also a consistent glove at second and third base this season as she ended with a .981 fielding percentage with just two errors. 

 
Cunningham is one of seven CIAA players to be named to All-Region. The full team selection is below:
