Hunter-Whitfield named CIAA Food Lion Men's Defensive Player of the Week, Recognized by Conference Second Time This Season

ETTRICK, V.A. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) released on Monday the Food Lion Men's and Women's basketball Weekly Honors for Week #12.
 

Terrence Hunter-Whitfield earned his second conference honors of the season as he tallied 21 rebounds, including 13 defensive boards, and eight steals over three games against Salem, Shaw and Elizabeth City State. The Chesterfield, VA native recorded six steals in the Trojans win over Shaw while also averaging 18.6 points per game over three games and led the team in scoring in two of the three game.

VSU will be hosting Senior Night Wednesday, February 16 against Bowie State. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. for the women's game and 7:30 for the men's game.
