Men's Indoor Track

VSU Track and Field Teams Set to Compete for 2022 CIAA Indoor Championship

ETTRICK, VA –  The Virginia State men's and women's indoor track and field teams will travel to the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The two-day event features ten women's and eight men's teams competing for CIAA championship. Competition begins Sunday, February 13 at 10:30 a.m. through Monday, February 14.



Last time out, Jalen Brownlee was the lone VSU representative in the 800 as the freshman earned yet another  personal best as he finished in 17th place with his time of 1:59.62. Vannie Coles posted a new personal best with an 8.57, which placed him 13th. Shaukeeme Watson tied for fourth place with his best jump being 1.86 meters. Joseph Briscoe tied for fourth as well with a 1.86-meter jump in his first collegiate meet. Amaya Jordan posted two personal records in the 200 and 60 meter races. Chernell White placed second as her best throw covered 11.71 meters, which was a new personal best for her. Manuela Deigh posted a 6:05.41, which was a personal best for her, and placed her 31st.
