ETTRICK, V.A. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) released on Monday the Food Lion Men's and Women's basketball Weekly Honors for Week seven.
VSU is currently 2-1 in the New Year and have improved their conference record to 2-3.
Terrence Hunter-Whitfield averaged a double double with 29.5 points and 10 rebounds per contest over two games, including a 31-point, 11-rebound performance against Winston-Salem State. The junior forward also posted 28 points and nine rebounds in the Trojans win over Livingstone. For the week, Hunter-Whitfield also shot 53 percent from the field, 62 percent from three, and 74 percent from the foul line as VSU finished with a 1-1 record.

VSU will be back in action this Saturday, January 15 to take part in the Freedom Classic against Virginia Union University. Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
