ETTRICK, V.A. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) released on Monday the Food Lion Men's and Women's basketball Weekly Honors for Week two.
 
VSU currently leads the conference in points (375), point margin (6.0), rebounding margin (8.5), Assist/Turnover ratio (1.17) and assists (61). The Trojans have also scored the most points in a game this season (101) against Mansfield.
 
Food Lion Men's Player of the Week, Francis "BJ" Fitzgerald (Danville, VA) averaged 26 points and six rebounds over two games this past week, including the first 30-point performance since 2015 in the Trojans 99-95 win over Mount Olive. The 6-6 guard also totaled two assists, two steals, and a blocked shot while shooting 57% from the field and 89% from the free throw line in the Mt. Olive Pickle Classic.

The Trojans will return to play on Saturday, November 27 to compete in the 'IUP Thanksgiving Classic' as the men's basketball team will take on the Crimson Hawks of Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 27 at 4:00 p.m., then the Mountain Cats of Pitt-Johnstown University Sunday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m. The CIAA/CC Challenge will take place in Kovalchick Convention center.
