ETTRICK, VA – After a stellar outdoor track and field season for the VSU Trojans, under the direction of head coach Wilbert Johnson, three Trojans will be competing at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The championship will be held in Charlotte, NC, on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University, from May 24-26.
Representing VSU on the men's side is Allen Blair, who will be competing in the men's 200M dash. Currently he is ranked 5th with a time of 20.82.
On the women's side, automatic qualifier Jeia Gilliam will be competing in the woman's discus throw. She is currently ranked 3rd with a range of 53.84m. Also competing for the VSU on the women's side is Jade Jordan in the women's high jump. Jordan is currently ranked 7th with a leap of 1.75m
These student-athletes contributed to both the men's and women's outdoor track and field teams 2nd place finish at the 2018 CIAA Championship.
