Box Score ETTRICK, Va. - The Virginia State University men's basketball team suffered a tough 61-65 loss to the Bulldogs of Bowie State University on Wednesday night. Senior
Elijah Moore led the Trojans (20-5, 12-3 CIAA, 7-2 North) offensively and defensively with adding a team-high 15 points and eight rebounds. Three other Trojans contributed nine points respectively juniors
Waymond Wright, Ken Woodard, and
Richard Granberry.
The team is looking to regroup and focus on the last conference match-up of the season against Lincoln University where VSU will wrap up the regular season on the road on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
The Bulldogs were led by
Omari George with a game-high 18 points on 7 of-13 shooting from the field and added six rebounds, three steals and a block.
Enuoma Ebinum recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds while
Dayshawn Wells chipped in 10 points in the win.

David Belle and senior
Brian Kelley contributed nine and eight points respectively for Bowie State.
Ahmaad Wilson and
Michael Briscoe rounded the Bulldog scorers with eight and six points respectively.
VSU ended the night shooting 39.3% (24-61) from the field, 13% (3-23) from behind the arc, and 66.7% (10-15) at the line, while BSU ended the game shooting 35.4% (17-48) from the field, 22.2% (4-18) from behind the arc, and 71.1% (27-38) at the line.
VSU will continue to work hard to prepare for the 2017 CIAA Basketball Tournament on February 21-25 in Charlotte. NC.
