Box Score LINCOLN, Pa.- The VSU Trojans Volleyball team moves to a 9-7 overall record after taking down the Lincoln University Lions in a 3 set sweep (25-20, 25-22, 25-12) on Oct. 12.
The matchup marks the fourth CIAA Northern Division matchup for the Trojans. They currently hold a 5-2 overall conference record, 3-1 in the division.
Rookie
Tiara Ramey (Grovetown, GA) led the game with 9 kills while teammate senior
Brookie Dargan (Newport News, VA) was close behind with 7 kills. Junior
Diamond Simpson (Decator, GA) collected a game high of 17 assists followed by junior
Adriana Hazou (Woodbridge, VA) with 18 digs.
VSU will take the court on Thursday, October 15 in Bowie, MD to take on the Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs at 6pm.
The Virginia State Department of Athletics annual 1,000 cans, 1 goal campaign initiative is underway. Canned food items collected will be donated to the local food banks. The Department encourages all fans, alumni, faculty and friends to bring a canned food item to all of the home volleyball and football games this season.
