Box Score Winston-Salem, N.C.- The Trojan men's basketball team dropped the ball against the Rams of Winston-Salem State University on January 8 with a final score of 58-61.
VSU shot 42.9 percent (24-56) from the field, 27.8 percent (5-18) from behind the arc and 45.5 percent (5-11) from the free throw line.
Senior
Tyrece Little received his third double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Senior
Xavier Parham also added 10 points to the books for the Trojans.
The Trojans kept everyone on the edge of their seats as the scores remained close the entire game. Basket after basket, either team could take the lead. At halftime, VSU was down by three with a score of 27-30. Little showed up with a dunk and a layup to start the second half for the Trojans. The coaches took advantage of their timeouts as the clock ran down. A missed shot with 7 seconds left the Trojans defeated, 58-61.
VSU will take on Livingstone College on Saturday, January 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Salisbury, N.C.
