The VSU Men's and Women's Track & Field Teams competed at the Father Diamond Invitational hosted by George Mason University, in Fairfax, VA on Saturday, January 11.
"We got off to a great start. You always wonder how the athletes will perform the first meet after the holiday break. The staff and I were pleased with not only those who qualified for nationals, but those who had some very solid performances to start the year." stated Head Coach Jason-Lamont Jackson.
Overall the Trojans posted 10 NCAA Provisional Qualifying marks. The most ever to start the season in Jackson's previous three years as Head Coach.
