MECHANICSVILLE, Va. (Sept. 5, 2026) – The Virginia State University women's cross country team competed Saturday at the Spider Alumni Open, using the 4K race as an opportunity to continue building momentum early in the 2026 season. 

Alesha Moore led the Trojans with a time of 19:19.1, followed closely by Tiniana Meeks, who crossed the finish line in 19:28.9.

Nainette Tucker finished with a time of 22:11.5, while Torie Satterwhite recorded a time of 23:57.9.

Kiera Coleman also competed for the Trojans, placing 99th overall with a final time of 17:44.6.
