Richmond, Va. (Aug. 30, 2025) – Competing against a field that included nine NCAA Division I programs, Virginia State University's Rose Wanjiru Muturi led the Women's Cross Country team at the Spider Alumni Invitational, finishing 71st overall with a time of 15:21.3.

Ananda Hamlin followed with a time of 18:37.3, while Torie Satterwhite, Omeika Hogg, and Ahnasti Brown finished in close succession. Mariah Perry rounded out the Trojan finishers.

The team will return to competition on Thursday, September 12, traveling to Christopher Newport University for a race scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
