Two Trojans land on Black College Golf Coaches Association HBCU Awards

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Black College Golf Coaches Association (BCGCA) and GCAA have partnered to present the 2025-26 BCGCA HBCU Awards. The awards honor college golfers from all backgrounds across Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Honors include the HBCU Golfer of the Year, HBCU All-America Team, HBCU Outstanding Freshman of the Year, HBCU All-Freshman Team, HBCU Coach of the Year.
 

(Non-Division I) 

HBCU All-America Team

Christopher Baguma, Virginia State

 Christopher Baguma was ranked as the ninth best golfer in the Atlantic Region with a scoring average of 73.8. He was selected to play in the NCAA East/Atlantic Regionals where he placed 25th out of 126. 

HBCU All-Freshman Team

Samuel Kozisek, Virigina State

Samuel Kozisek was the 91st best golfer in the Atlantic region and as a freshman climbed into the top 1000 for alll of NCAA Division II. He had a scoring average of 77.9 and one top three finish
