JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (May 11, 2026) – Christopher Baguma closed out an outstanding season for the Virginia State University men's golf program with a strong performance at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional held at Sunnehanna Country Club.

Competing as an individual qualifier, Baguma finished tied for 25th overall in a field featuring some of the top golfers in the region. He posted a three-round score of 218 (+8) after rounds of 72, 69, and 77 on the par-70 course. 

Baguma opened the tournament with a solid first-round score of 72 before turning in one of the best rounds of the event on day two with a one-under-par 69. Entering the final round in contention among the tournament's top individuals, he battled through difficult conditions to secure a top-25 finish against a field of 116 golfers.
