Newport News, Va. – Virginia State University's men's cross country team competed in the 8K at the CNU XC Invitational at the Lee Hall Mansion course on Friday evening. The Trojans finished seventh with 172 points.
Leading the Trojans was Emmanuel Williams, who finished 16th in 27:39.01, edging out several Division 1 competitors. Right on his heels was his teammate, Emmanuel Kipchirchir, in 28:20.62. Rounding out our top three finishers was Alijzah Koonce.
Next up for the Trojans is the Cedric Walker HBCU Challenge on Oct. 3rd in Cary, N.C.
