Hampton, Va. (Sept. 10, 2025) – The Virginia State Women's Soccer team traveled to Division I Hampton University and, despite scoring first, dropped the match 3-1 to the Pirates.
Loryn Sturgis recorded the only shot on goal for the Trojans in the first half, while goalkeeper Tianna Roberts saved all five shots that came her way. To start the second half, VSU fired off three shots—two went wide right and the third was blocked by a Pirate defender.
